AB Capstone is a fast growing, vertically integrated real estate company with expertise in investment, development, and construction of residential and commercial projects. We are a team of dedicated real estate professionals committed to utilizing innovative design strategies to build high quality properties. Over the last decade we have been involved in over 1.0MM SF of ground-up development and value-add real estate projects. Currently, our accounting team is looking for a detail-oriented and efficient individual with solid accounting experience who will be responsible for a variety of day-to-day operations of the company. This individual will work hand-in-hand with our CEO in communicating with contractors, clients, banks, vendors, and project personnel to ensure the accurate and timely submittal of monthly requisitions and cost reports. We’re looking for a person who can successfully perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with an aptitude to effectively learn from our team and help us obtain set goals and objectives.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in managing project accounts payables and accounts receivables.
  • Oversee document control including change orders, vendor invoices, purchasing documentation and contract administration.
  • Review approved contractor requisitions and vendor invoices. Assist in making payments after the monthly requisition has been funded.
  • Review overhead expenses related to projects.
  • Identify and correct items that lack sufficient or proper backup documentation.
  • Oversee timely and accurate billing approvals.
  • Analyze past cost trends as well as project future costs. Incorporate this information along with current requisition data into the monthly cost.
  • Prepare special reports as directed by upper management.
  • Manage communication with subcontractors and vendors as it pertains to the accounting department.

Job Qualifications

  • Must be detail-oriented, organized, reliable, highly productive, and efficient.
  • Must be a motivated self-starter with a “follow-through to completion” attitude.
  • Must be a critical thinker, exercising sound judgment to make difficult decisions.
  • Must have great interpersonal and communication skills to successfully deal with internal and external business associates.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks. Knowledge of Sage Timberline is a plus.

Experience: 4-10 years of related accounting experience is preferred.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
